Se usa AN cuando la palabra siguiente  al artículo empieza con vocal.

Ejemplos:

I am a boy, I am in the school. Yo soy un muchacho, yo estoy en la escuela.

You are a dentist, you are in the car now. Tures un dentista, tu estas en el auto ahora.

He is a doctor, he is in the hospital now. L es un doctor, el esta en el hospital ahora

She is a good girl, she is in the library. Ella es una buena chica, ella esta in la biblioteca.

It is a Brown dog, it is in the garden. Eso es un perro marron. Eso esta en el jardín.

We are from England, we are in London . nosotros somos de Inglaterra, nosotros estamos en Lonres ahora

They are students, they are  in the classroom. Ellos son estudiantes. Ellos están en el aula.

 

Para preguntar con el verbo  “TO BE ” se invierte el orden con el pronombre o sujeto.

Are you a teacher?  ¿eres tu un maestro?

Is he  from Russia? ¿es el de Rusia?

Are they in the Unitd States?¿estan ellos en los Estados Unidos?

Is she an excellent student?  ¿es ella una exclente  estudiante?

 

 

Para negar con el verbo “TO BE” se usa la palabra NOT después del verbo.

He is not a good boy.    El no es un buen muchachacho.

Susan is not in the movie theater.  Susana no esta en el cine.

They are not sick.   Ellos no estanenfermos

We are not tourists. Nosotros no somos turistas.

 

Tambien esta la forma apostrofada del verbo con la palabra NOT

ISN´T : IS NOT

AREN´T:  ARE NOT

SHE ISN´T A  NURSE- ELLANO ES UNA ENFERMERA

HE ISN´T A  POLIC OFFICER.- EL NO ES UN OFICIALDE POLICIA
