LA EXPRESION “HAY” EN INGLES

Para decir HAY en ingles usamos dos expresiones dependiendo si la oración esa en singular o plural.

En singular: THERE IS

En plural: THERE ARE

 

EJEMPLOS

There is a man at the door.  Hay un hombre en la puerta

There are two girls in the classroom.  Hay dos chicas en el aula

There is an Apple on the table.  Hay una manzana sobe la mesa

There are several cases.  Hay varios casos

There is a big house at the end of thestreet.  Hay ua casa grande al final de la calle.

 

Para preguntar se invierte el orden, is there? Are there?

 

Is there a book on the chair?   Hay un libro sobre la silla

Are there any Money? Hay algo de dinero?

 

Is there a blue cup?  Hay una taza azul?

Are there any pencils?  Hay algunos lápices?

Is there a ghost? Hay un fantasta?

 Para negar se usa la palabra NOT después del verbo TO BE.

There is not a pen. No hay una lapicera

There are not any cars. No hay ningún auto,

There is not a table in the kitchen. No hay una mesa en la cocina

There are not any magazines.  No hay ninguna revista.
